The single most important thing we can do this year:Win back Congress,
Defend our people.
We're sending volunteers into the closest congressional races to flip Congress by margins too big to deny — then showing up in force to make sure the results stand.
No experience needed. Every volunteer canvassing with our partner organization Seed the Vote gets training and a buddy.
Trump and the Mar-a-Lago mafia are desperately trying to rig the rules to protect their own power. They're doing it because they know they're losing.
We’re showing up big for elections this year, despite Trump and MAGA’s efforts.
Why? Getting MAGA out of power in Congress is our best chance to put a lid on Trump’s reign of cruelty and corruption.
And, winning the midterms by a margin too big to deny is our first line of defense against election sabotage and interference.
We are:
Flipping close congressional races with face-to-face conversations at the doors, then
Standing ready to protect the results.
Why Now Why do the
midterms matter?
Our PlanStrikes and elections
go hand in hand
🗳️ Vote
Elections carry the voice of the people.
We knock on doors, talk to voters, make calls, and turn out our neighbors to put champions for working people in office.
Led by Grassroots Democracy in Action, with Seed the Vote
🔥 STRIKE
Strikes and mass noncooperation give that voice muscle.
When the powerful won't respect the vote, we stop the work, school, and shopping that their power runs on.
Led by our sister project, Strike Ready Corps

Let's combine forces.
We work with community groups, unions, and aligned organizations on canvassing, voter turnout, and election defense. We act as an amplifier, sending our numbers wherever they're needed most and staying in close coordination with our partners.
Partnership can look like
Coordinating volunteer mobilization for canvassing and turnout
Supporting rapid response in regional or national crisis moments, like election sabotage or government overreach, when large numbers of people need to move fast
Showing up when called, wherever our network can help
Who we areA political home for those who want a country run by
its people.
Grassroots Democracy in Action organizes everyday people to win critical elections, defend the results, and build the long-term movement power to enforce them. Not just for one election cycle, but for the fight ahead.
We bring together people of every race, gender, and background who believe in freedom. We train volunteers and work alongside community groups led by poor and working-class people of color, strengthening the organizing already underway on the ground.
What makes us different
2. Real support for volunteers, no experience needed. We partner with trusted groups like Seed the Vote for training, logistics, and fundraising support, with a buddy and trainer always close at hand.
5. Bring your people.Change happens one real conversation at a time. We help you persuade, not just disagree, and bring your friends, family, and neighbors along.
3. Local leadership first. We aim to support the work of local grassroots groups and unions led by poor and working-class people of color.
6. Pull down the pillars. We target the specific supports holding corrupt power in place.
1. Election Day is one milestone, not the finish line.We connect canvassing now to election protection, results enforcement, and long-term people power later.
4. Face-to-face, for the long haul. Two people talking honestly on a doorstep is a simple, radical, and effective act. We don’t stop there - we grow volunteers into organizers who keep leading long after Election Day.

First, vote. If you haven’t voted early or by mail, make a plan to get to the polls on Tuesday, November 3. Bring a friend, a neighbor, or your whole household. If you’ve already voted, you’re not done yet. Keep reading.
Then make it a civic holiday. We’re part of Election.Holiday, a national campaign asking Americans to treat Election Day as a day on, not a day off. Showing up in big numbers is how we win, and it’s also how we make the results harder to rig. Pick what fits your day:
Drive a neighbor to the polls or join a local ride network
Be a poll worker or election observer. Sign up at 866OurVote.org
Set up a welcoming presence near a polling place with music, snacks, and signs
Get out the vote by calling or texting three friends to make sure they’ve votedn

It takes two minutes to check your registration or register to vote at vote.org. Registration deadlines in many states fall in October, so do it today. Then check your friends' and family's registrations too. Given Trump’s desperate attempts to keep eligible voters from voting, it’s especially important to make sure as many people as possible check their registrations before it’s too late.

Just four. Republicans hold 218 seats and Democrats hold 214, with 2 vacancies. New maps in 10 states have reshuffled the battleground, so just a few of the closest races will decide the future of our country. That's where our volunteers go.

We support Democratic candidates who will help turn around the corruption and cruelty rampant in our federal government — but our focus is defeating authoritarianism and electing people who will fight for a world where everyone is able to take care of their families and live a good life no matter your background – not party loyalty for its own sake.
